It saddens me to share with you that Daren Green, Harding ’65, passed away at 8:15 this morning. Many of you knew Daren as the coordinator of our volunteers at the Harding West ‘60s Reunions. His wife, Lynn was often with him, assisting Daren in this role.
Daren has been in University Hospital in Charlotte since last Wednesday. He had been undergoing testing to determine a course of treatment for cancer that had spread to his liver. Lynn was told yesterday that it was an aggressive form of cancer and that time for him was short.
As arrangements are made known, I will share them with you. In the meantime, please keep Lynn and the Green family in your prayers.

This is really sad news, and just getting to know Daren the last three years while volunteering at the 60's Reunion was incredibly uplifting.! Daren scheduled our times with precision and flexibility, and was always gracious to allow us time for our friends and family.! We've lost another treasure in our midst, and I'm so thankful I got to see Daren and his wife Lynn at BBQ King for the Cruise-In on 4-26-14.!

Daren's passing comes at a time when I'll be in Washington, DC through next week, and would definitely pay my respects if I were home.! Sorry for the bad timing of this sad occasion.!
